June 20th, China Federation for Corporate Social Responsibility successfully held its first Special Chairman Conference and Secretary General Joint Conference of 2008 at the banquet hall of JuneYao International Plaza, Shanghai. CFCSR¡¯s Chairman Ma Weihua, Vice Chairman Liu Jing, Secretary General He Zhiyi and company representatives attended the conferences together with the Group¡¯s Chairman Wang Junjin, Vice Chairman Wang Junhao, CEO Huang Hui.
Before the Special Chairman Conference in the morning, CFCSR¡¯s secretariat held a brief ceremony to honor the member companies and individuals who performed well in the relief programs of Sichuan Earthquake. JuneYao Group was granted the Earthquake Relief Activist Award.
The Special Chairman Conference focused on the post-quake reconstruction, where the representatives of member companies shared views with their respective rebuilding plans. Chairman Wang Junjin said in his speech, ¡°companies play a significant role in helping the society¡¯s development and stability.¡± He pointed out, ¡°Contributing to the disaster relief, JuneYao is now more concerned about the post-quake reconstruction. With advantageous faculty resources of primary and middle schools in Shanghai, we will strengthen the training of teachers in addition to building Project Hope Schools. We may send our teachers to the disastrous areas and become a dedicated partner to some schools there, to provide access to the good educational resources and play a prominent role in rebuilding the quake areas. ¡±
Besides, the secretary general of CFCSR read out a letter of thanks to express gratitude to JuneYao Airlines, OK-Air and JuneYao Air Service for their prominent contribution to CFCSR¡¯s relief goods transport. He also delivered the copies of the letter to the representatives of the three companies.
It was learned that in the Secretary General Conference in the afternoon, CFCSR¡¯s first semiannual work was summarized and second semiannual work was planned. |
