With incredible courage, the group’s founder strived to launch a charter flight from Changsha to Wenzhou on July 28, 1991, setting the precedent for private charter flights in China. And established Wenzhou Tianlong Charter Industry Co., Ltd., the country’s first private charter business. China’s private economy entered the area under sole state control for the first time with the introduction of the charter airline, which served as a dramatic example of China’s reform and opening up. With the establishment of Juneyao Group Aviation Service Co., Ltd. in Shanghai at the end of 2000, Juneyao’s aviation service operation entered a brand-new stage of growth.


On August 18, 2002, with the approval of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Juneyao Group took a stake in China Eastern Airlines Wuhan Co., Ltd. This is the first instance of a private corporation investing in an entirely state-controlled industry. In June 2005, the Group was approved to establish Juneyao Air. Additionally, the first flight was completed in September 2006.Juneyao Air was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) on May 27, 2015.


In February 2014,9Air was approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China to prepare for establishment. It is a public air transportation enterprise established by the holding of Shanghai Juneyao Air. And the first flight was achieved in December 2014.
